Even If...God is Still Enough

Updated: Apr 15

“The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng.”

Psalm 68:11 (NIV)

When Women Rise and Speak

I walked into the Girls Night Out event expecting a nice evening with my church family, a few laughs, a few tears, and some good food. But what I walked away with was something deeper: a reminder that our stories—when surrendered to God—become weapons of hope.

The theme of the evening was “Even If.”

Real Stories, Real Hope

A woman who had grown up in the church opened the night. Her story was a powerful reminder that even when we drift, God never lets us go. She spoke about being betrayed by someone she trusted, and how she and her husband lost all their savings. Yet through the trial, their marriage grew stronger, their faith deepened, and together they learned to trust God in a whole new way—especially when it came to finances and tithing. Her honesty reminded us how hard, yet freeing, surrender can be.

Another woman shared about staying a long time in an unhealthy marriage. She had held on, prayed through the pain, and finally walked the hard road of divorce. Later, she found love again. Her story wasn’t about a fairy-tale ending—it was about surrendering to God’s timing, even when it didn’t make sense, and trusting Him in the letting go.

And then came the woman who had the room roaring with laughter.  Married twice. A recovered alcoholic. Newly baptized and on fire for Jesus. Her delivery was honest, raw, and hilarious. Through her joy and transparency, she reminded us that even if your marriage fails—even if your story is filled with broken chapters—God is still enough.

The Power of Proclamation

Each woman’s testimony was different. But all pointed to one unshakable truth:

Even if life doesn’t turn out how we planned, God remains faithful.

They weren’t preaching sermons. They were simply proclaiming what God had done. And in doing so, they became part of the mighty throng Psalm 68 speaks of—everyday women proclaiming the goodness of God and stirring hope in the hearts of others.

They reminded me that you don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to share the truth: “Here’s what God brought me through. He can do it for you too.”

Even If... You Still Matter

Maybe you're walking through your own "even if" right now.

Even if it’s still painful.

Even if the ending isn’t what you hoped.

Even if you’re still waiting.

God is still enough.

He hasn’t left your side. And in time, your story—yes, even the messy parts—may become the exact encouragement someone else is waiting to hear.

You are part of the mighty throng.

When you proclaim what God has done—whether in a church gym, over coffee, or through a quiet conversation—you shine His light into someone else’s darkness.

And friend?

Someone needs to hear your story.

Pray this:Lord, help me trust You even if my story doesn’t look the way I thought it would. Give me the courage to share what You’ve done so others can find hope in You. In Jesus Precious Name, Amen
